Cropvise ("we", "our", "the service") provides AI-assisted crop diagnosis and farming guidance. This policy explains what information we handle and how, in plain language.
When you use Cropvise, we may handle: the email and display name you provide if you create an account; the text and photos you send in chat, used to generate a response; and basic usage counts (messages and images sent per day) used to apply fair-use limits.
Information is used solely to operate the service: generating AI responses, maintaining your chat history on your device, applying daily usage limits, and improving answer quality over time. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your data for advertising.
Your account details and chat history are stored locally in your browser. Messages and photos are sent to Cropvise's backend only at the moment a response is generated, and are processed by Cropvise AI's infrastructure to produce that response. Your name and account details are never included in that processing step — only the message or photo content itself.
Photos you upload are analysed to identify plant health issues and are not used to identify you as a person. We recommend avoiding photos that include faces, license plates, or other personal identifiers unrelated to the plant.
You can use Cropvise as a guest without creating an account. You can clear your chat history and locally stored data at any time through your browser's site settings for thecropvise.com. Registered users may request account deletion via the Contact section.
Cropvise is built for general agricultural use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy as Cropvise evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
